Trump administration orders 4-year-old Mexican girl receiving life-saving medical treatment in the US to be deported
According to reports, the Trump administration has ordered the deportation of a 4-year-old Mexican girl who has been receiving life-saving medical treatment in the United States
The girl, who is known by her initials as S.G.V. entered the U.S. legally in 2023 to receive specialized medical care for a critical condition.

She is the daughter of Darla Vargas, who is from the Mexican state of Oaxaca; her husband is from Colombia.
S.G.V.’s treatment was facilitated under a humanitarian program that allowed migrants with extreme medical needs to remain in the country temporarily.
However, the Trump administration’s recent policy shift has terminated such protections which have supported over 1 million migrants in the U.S.

The girl’s doctor, whose name was not disclosed in the Inquistir News report, stated that the child’s condition requires ongoing treatment unavailable in her home country, warning that deportation could lead to her death within days.
