France is introducing a new policy that will see them going hard on smokers in a bid to ban smoking in the country.
Reports says France ban smoking in outdoor areas frequented by children, including beaches, parks, public gardens.

Some other places under consideration are bus stops, sports venues, and near schools for the safety of children as the act is getting rampant on the streets each day.
If all goes as planned without any objections from anyone, the new law will take effect starting July 1, 2025.
Health Minister Catherine Vautrin announced the measure to protect children’s right to breathe clean air.
The law will be accompanied with a fine of €135 for violations, meanwhile Cafe terraces and e-cigarettes are exempted.

It has also been rumored that nicotine limits for e-cigarettes are under consideration.
This follows plan to create a “tobacco-free generation by 2032, with over 1,500 municipalities already enforcing local bans while Smoking causes 75,000 deaths annually in France.
