Ghanaians have lambasted Prophet Ogyaba over allegations of misusing church offerings to fund an extravagant lifestyle for his alleged side chick, Lady Cassie.
According to Prophet Ogyaba in a recent audio going viral, he spent over GHS 60,000 in just one week to furnish an apartment he rented for Lady Cassie, who reportedly wanted to become his second wife.
However, Prophet Ogyaba claimed he refused her request, which led her to expose their affair to the public.
Screenshots from their conversations reveal a detailed breakdown of the requested items for the apartment, including a wardrobe (GHS 5,000), bed and mattress (GHS 12,000), air conditioner (GHS 4,500), and a flat-screen TV (GHS 5,000), among other household essentials.
The total cost of these items summed up to GHS 32,000, and Prophet Ogyaba reportedly covered all expenses.
The news has sparked outrage, with many accusing the prophet of prioritising his romantic escapades over the well-being of his congregation.
Critics argued that while church members might be struggling financially, their offerings were being used to fund luxury items for Lady Cassie.
“He’s supposed to be a spiritual leader, but this is where the church’s hard-earned money is going? It’s outrageous!” one social media user lamented.
Prophet Ogyaba has maintained his stance, saying he will never leave his wife for Lady Cassie despite the exposure.
He insisted that the money spent on the apartment was his, not the church’s.
Lady Cassie, for her part, has accused the prophet of exploiting her and failing to fulfil promises made during their relationship.
She claimed that despite being five months pregnant, Prophet Ogyaba refused to take responsibility or offer further support.
A post from Lady Cassie outlined her grievances. She alleged that Prophet Ogyaba often brought underage girls to the same apartment and that his personal assistant was also pregnant by him.
The accusations also included claims that the prophet’s travel agent processed a fake Australian visa for her using forged documents.
The unfolding drama has cast a shadow over Prophet Ogyaba’s ministry, with many calling for accountability and transparency.
