Young soldier sh00ts 13-year-old boy to death
NIGERIA – A piece of sad news from Ete community in Ikot Abasi Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria confirms the shooting of a 13-year-old boy, Timothy Daniel.
According to reports, Timothy and his 15-year-old sister, Miracle Daniel, were returning home from a church crossover service when they met the soldier, who is reportedly attached to Sterling Petrochemical and Fertiliser Limited.

Eyewitness accounts allege that the soldier made sekzual advances toward Miracle and this prompted Timothy to step in to defend his sister.
The situation escalated into a confrontation between the young boy and the armed officer.
During the altercation, the soldier fired his rifle, shooting Timothy in the head, leading to his immediate death.
The incident has sparked widespread outrage within the Ete community and beyond, with residents describing the incident as heartbreaking and unjust.
Many have called on security authorities and the Nigerian government to ensure that the matter is thoroughly investigated and that justice is served.
