World Cup 2026 – Ghana international Lawrence Agyekum calls for massive support ahead of remaining qualifiers
Ghana international Lawrence Agyekum is calling for massive support from fans as the Black Stars push for qualification to the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
With four matches left to play, the team sits atop their group, three points above second-placed Comoros.

Agyekum expressed the team’s determination to qualify for the World Cup, saying, “For us as a team, we will give the best we can to make sure we qualify for the World Cup and then to put smiles on the faces of Ghanaians.”
Agyekum emphasised the importance of fan support, stating, “We need the fans behind the team because we can’t do it without them.” He believes that with fan support, the team can achieve their goal of qualifying for the World Cup.

The Black Stars will resume their World Cup qualification campaign in September, facing Chad away before hosting Mali.
