Vice President Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang returns to Ghana following treatment abroad

Vice President of the republic of Ghana, Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang hasreturned to Ghana following a trip abroad for treatment.

Back in March, the presidency announced that the vice president is faced with some medical issues and had to fly abroad for treatment.

She traveled to the United Kingdom after she initially sought care at the University of Ghana Medical Centre.

Having been away for months, the presidency announced her return in good condition.

While she was away, President John Dramani Mahama and other officials, including Foreign Affairs Minister Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, provided updates during her recovery, confirming her steady improvement and eventual return.

President John Dramani Mahama, speaking during his Thank You Tour in Dodowa last Friday May 16 had expressed relief and gratitude for the Vice President’s recovery.

“I’m happy to state that I spoke to her yesterday morning, and she will be back in the country before the end of next week. By God’s grace, she is fully recovered and she’s going to come and go back to her duties,” he announced.
