Shatta Wale Is the Most Difficult Artiste I’ve Managed; Managing Him Nearly Cost Me All My Industry Relationships – BullGod Narrates

Renowned entertainment pundit and artiste manager, Lawrence Nana Asiamah Hanson, widely known in showbiz as Bullgod, has opened up about the challenges he faced while managing dancehall star Shatta Wale, describing him as the most difficult artiste he has ever worked with.

Speaking on Joy Prime in an interview with George Quaye on Wednesday, October 1, the CEO of Bullhaus Entertainment admitted that working with Shatta Wale was not only stressful but also came at the expense of his personal and professional relationships.

“The most difficult management ever? Oh, that one everyone knows who it is—Shatta Wale,” Bullgod confessed.

According to him, the Freedom Hitmaker’s outspoken and confrontational nature often created tension between him and industry stakeholders. He recalled how the singer’s habit of picking fights on multiple platforms left him constantly in damage control mode.

“You dey Joy FM dey prove some matter he talk, na he dey YFM dey start another matter, you dey YFM na he dey Peace FM dey start another matter—everywhere he went, he would talk and start another fire. Because of him, I nearly made enemies with everybody that I had built a relationship with along the way,” he explained.

The situation, he said, was especially complicated because he was also working with Charterhouse, organizers of the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA), at a time when Wale frequently clashed with them.

“At that time, I was also working with Charterhouse, and if your artiste insults your boss and his wife, you can imagine the feeling. It wasn’t easy at all,” he said.
