Award-winning Ghanaian musician, Kofi Kinaata, has opened up about how the mysterious disappearance of his mentor and close friend, Castro, deeply affected him on a personal level.

In an exclusive interview with GhPage’s Rashad, the “Things Fall Apart” hitmaker revealed that Castro’s absence left an emotional void in his life.
He explained that the incident did not hinder his music career but rather had a profound impact on him as a person.
According to Kofi Kinaata, the sudden loss of someone he considered both a mentor and a brother was difficult to process.

“Castro’s disappearance affected me emotionally,” he confessed, adding that the pain was more personal than professional.
Kofi Kinaata began his musical journey under the mentorship of Castro, who played a pivotal role in shaping his artistry and stage presence.
Their close bond made the singer’s disappearance in 2014 after a jet ski accident at Ada Estuary even more devastating.
The “Susuka” crooner emphasized that while he has continued to grow in the industry, the memory of Castro’s disappearance remains a painful chapter in his life.
