Reality star and business mogul Kim Kardashian has once again come up short in her quest to become a lawyer. Months after sitting for the California bar exam in July, Kim revealed on November 8 that she didn’t pass — but remains more determined than ever.
Kim Shares Emotional Message After Results
In a heartfelt post on her Instagram Stories, the SKIMS founder, 45, admitted she felt disappointed but not defeated.
“Well… I’m not a lawyer yet, I just play a very well-dressed one on TV,” Kim wrote.
She explained that her legal journey, which began six years ago, has been full of challenges — but giving up is not an option.
“No shortcuts, no giving up — just more studying and even more determination,” she added.
“Failing Short Isn’t Failure — It’s Fuel”
Kim encouraged her followers to see failure as a stepping stone rather than an end.
“Failing short isn’t failure — it’s fuel. I was so close to passing, and that only motivated me even more,” she said.
Her message has inspired thousands of fans who praised her resilience and work ethic despite juggling motherhood, business, and fame.
Kim’s Long Legal Journey
Kim Kardashian’s dream of becoming a lawyer began after she was inspired by her father, the late Robert Kardashian, who was part of O.J. Simpson’s defense team.
She’s been studying law through an apprenticeship program in California and has previously passed the “baby bar” exam in 2021. Despite her recent setback, Kim made it clear that she won’t stop until she earns her license.
“Six years in, and I’m still all in until I pass,” she wrote.

Fans Rally Behind Kim Kardashian
Social media erupted with mixed reactions after her announcement. While some teased the reality star, others applauded her persistence and passion for justice reform.
Many fans noted that Kim’s transparency about failure makes her journey relatable and empowering, especially for those chasing long-term goals.
