Fresh controversy has erupted in the ongoing dispute surrounding the late Highlife legend Daddy Lumba and his supposed wife Odo Broni, as a close family member has alleged that the two were never legally married.
Speaking in an exclusive interview with Zionfelix, Nana Kwasi Sarfo, popularly known as Jigga, who represents the family of the late musician, revealed that according to their family head, Agya Wusu, Daddy Lumba and Odo Broni never tied the knot.
According to Jigga, the revelation came directly from Odo Broni herself, who reportedly told Agya Wusu that she and Daddy Lumba had no official marriage ceremony, contradicting long-held public belief.
“Agya Wusu told me that Odo Broni herself admitted she never married Daddy Lumba. So those wedding pictures circulating online are edited,” Jigga disclosed during the interview.

However, Jigga expressed shock that the same Agya Wusu who allegedly confirmed to him that no marriage took place later claimed in another media interview that Daddy Lumba and Odo Broni were indeed married.
“I was very surprised to hear him publicly say that Lumba married Odo Broni after he had earlier told me the opposite,” Jigga added.
The revelation adds another twist to the ongoing family and public debate over the true marital status of the late Highlife icon.
Since Daddy Lumba’s passing on July 26, 2025, tensions have mounted between his legally recognized wife, Akosua Serwaa, and Odo Broni, with disputes arising over inheritance, funeral arrangements, and public recognition.
