Dorothy Laryea Breaks Silence, Clears Immigration Officer Of Assault Allegations
Dorothy Laryea, the woman at the centre of a recent social media storm involving an immigration officer, Richard Kwabena Mensah Kwafo, has broken her silence to clarify what truly transpired and dismissed claims that she was assaulted by him.
The case attracted widespread public attention a few days ago after a video that went viral online with accompanying commentary alleged that Dorothy had suffered repeated abuse and threats from Richard, forcing her to end their relationship for her own safety.
The video sparked outrage which made many social media users to condemn the alleged assault.
However, in an exclusive interview with GhPage’s Gibson, Dorothy firmly refuted those claims.
She stated that she was never attacked or assaulted by Richard Kwabena Mensah Kwafo, contrary to what was widely reported.
According to Dorothy, she was actually robbed by a group of criminals, who made away with her phones—including one provided to her by a company owned by Richard, cash, and other personal valuables.
She explained that it was Richard who came to her aid after the incident.
She revealed that the misunderstanding arose when members of the public saw her with a swollen face and blood-stained shirt seated in Richard’s car.
This, she said, led to the assumption that she had been assaulted by him, prompting a mob reaction and the subsequent spread of misinformation online.
Dorothy stressed that Richard intended to assist her after the robbery, not to harm her, and described the accusations against him as unfair and misleading.
