Football activities in Chad about to witness a huge upgrade as gorvenment unveiled a new Stadium.

Chad has announced a new sports stadium with a capacity of 30,000 named the Marchal Idriss Derby Itno Olympic Stadium.

The new stadium was inaugurated on May 23, 2025, in N’Djamena, a project spearheaded by Chinese Chinese contractors.

According to details and financing details of the project, it was fully funded and constructed by China as a gift to strengthen diplomatic ties.

Currently, the stadium is the largest in Chad and is designed to host major sporting events in the country.

Chadian President Mahamat Idriss praised the project as a symbol of mutual respect and shared vision.

Meanwhile China’s Ambassador Wang Xining highlighted its role in fostering talent and future cooperation.
