The Artiste of the Year category is given to the artist or artists who, in the opinion of the Academy, Board, and the public at large, had the most popularity and appeal to the audience during the reviewed year. Nominees must be among the most nominated and have published a successful single, EP, or album.

On Monday, March 24, Vida Adutwumwaa Boateng, Head of Public Relations for Burniton Music Group (BMG), told Graphic Showbiz that Stonebwoy has distinguished himself from the competition with his outstanding accomplishments.

Considering the category’s definition, which prioritizes audience appeal and nominations, no one in this category surpasses Stonebwoy,” she said.

She emphasized his supremacy even more by pointing out that three of his biggest singles from his Up and Runnin’ album—Psalm 23, Ekelebe, and Jiggle and Whine—have received nominations in several TGMA categories.

“This is a feat that no other artist within the calendar year can claim,” she continued.

“Additionally, Stonebwoy was the most nominated artist at this year’s TGMA with eight nominations. That record is not surpassed by any of his Artiste of the Year rivals,” she confirmed.
