Ebo Noah, a doomsday prophet native Ghana, had been arrested
Evans Eshun, also known as Ebo Noah, who constructed multiple arks and predicted that the world will be inundated with water on Christmas Day, has been arrested, according to the Ghana Police Service.
Eshun was taken into custody by the Inspector General of Police’s Special Cyber Vetting Team, according to a statement issued by the police on their official website on Wednesday.

The arrest is a component of increased security measures meant to keep an eye on internet activity, especially before religious services on the 31st.
The confirmation coincides with allegations that the arrest was made in response to security services’ recent warnings against public utterances or predictions that could cause panic, terror, or public unrest.

The police did not, however, provide any specific accusations or the exact behavior they were looking into.

Eshun is being held to help with investigations, according to the statement. No formal charges, court hearings, or bail terms have been disclosed by the authorities, and it is unclear whether other people are implicated.
The police emphasized that investigations are underway and that due process will be followed while urging the public to maintain composure and refrain from speculating.
They reaffirmed that unless a court of competent authority finds the person guilty, they are innocent.
In recent months, Ebo Noah became well-known both domestically and abroad for building what he claimed to be an ark—a massive wooden structure—under divine guidance.

He had predicted a catastrophic flood beginning on December 25, following what he said was a revelation of prolonged rainfall that would destroy the world.
Videos of the growing structure and the prophecy generated a great deal of public attention and attracted tourists from all over Ghana and beyond.
However, last week, Ebo Noah released a video stating that the predicted disaster did not occur because he received a new revelation after prayers, fasting, and consultations with other religious leaders.
He claimed he was granted additional time to build more arks after seeing that the number of people seeking refuge exceeded the ark’s capacity.
