Crystal Palace of the English Premier League has made defender Mohammed Salisu of the Black Stars a target for a loan.
The 26-year-old, who joined Monaco in 2023, has not played this season and had little action last season.
With veteran defender Marc Guéhi being heavily linked to a move to Liverpool, Palace has reached out to the Ligue 1 team as they consider strengthening their defensive options.
Salisu is also rumoured to be discussing a possible transfer with Olympiakos, a Greek team.
Ed Aarons, a sports journalist for The Guardian, first reported on the deal.
The player is still focused on Ghana’s next World Cup qualifying matches, thus neither an agreement nor a choice have been made.
Salisu has been included to the 24-man roster for the September 4 match against Chad and the September 4 match against Mali.
It is anticipated that the team would set up camp in Accra on September 1.
