Yaw Preko warns the Black Stars before their match against Mali in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Ghana will reassemble for Matchdays 7 and 8 of the qualifications.
On Thursday, September 4, they will play Chad away at the Stade Olympique Maréchal Idriss Déby Itno, and on September 8, they will play Mali at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Preko emphasised the danger posed by Mali, who are now managed by coach Tom Saintfiet, in an interview with Asempa FM.
“Mali is a hazardous side, in my opinion. They think they can show up here and cause trouble, but I think Ghanaians would cheer for the team.
However, I think the game won’t be simple,” the former Ghanaian player told Asempa FM.
“They have a new coach [Tom Saintfiet] and so they will study us well coming into the game, but with the right support,
I believe that team can do something by going all out to win,” he stated.
In their quest for a fifth FIFA World Cup berth, the Black Stars now lead Group I with 15 points from six games, three points ahead of Comoros and five ahead of Madagascar.
On Monday, September 1, the team is anticipated to set up camp in Accra.
