Ghana striker Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer dreams of playing in the EPL

Black Stars striker Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer has opened up on his dreams of playing in the English Premier League.

Konigsdorffer was on the verge of joining French giants OGC Nice in the summer transfer window as his dreams of playing in one of the most popular leagues in the world was inching close.

However, the deal fell through due to medical reasons allowing him to return to Germany to rejoin his club Hamburger SV.

Despite the disappointment, the German-born Ghanaian is not giving up on his English Premier League dreams as he prepares for his maiden Bundesliga campaign.

“I’ve always said that it is my dream to play in the Premier League one day. This was a big chance for me to play abroad, however it was not meant to be. I just have to accept this and move on,” he told HSV’s media.

“It’s an intense pre-season with friendlies against  good opponents which has led to some tired legs at the end of it all. Obviously we want to win this game against RCD Mallorca and perform as well as we can, however, we will treat this game like the other games we’ve played so far and use it to test out new ideas. It’s crucial that we are ready for our DFB-Pokal match next week,” he added.
