Super Falcons star Chiamaka Nnadozie leaves Paris FC amid Everton links

Paris FC have officially confirmed the departure of Nigeria international and back-to-back CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year, Chiamaka Nnadozie.

This follows the conclusion of her contract with the French club.

The 24-year-old’s exit comes amid strong speculation linking her with a move to Women’s Super League side Everton, where she is expected to reunite with Super Falcons teammate Toni Payne.

A report by Score Nigeria in April suggested a deal had already been agreed.

Nnadozie leaves the French capital after a five-year spell, having joined Paris FC in 2020 from Rivers Angels.

Her final season saw her play a crucial role in helping the club lift the Coupe de France Féminine.

She was also named the league’s Best Goalkeeper for the 2023/24 campaign.

A striker-turned-goalkeeper, Nnadozie has made a name for herself on the international stage.

She has featured in the U17 and U20 teams for Nigeria and has represented the Super Falcons at the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations, as well as the 2019 and 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cups.

She also made history at Paris FC by becoming the first African goalkeeper to feature in the UEFA Women’s Champions League.
